What is the Universe?

In this essay, Harjinder Kaur explores the mystery of the Universe through lived meditation. She reveals the cosmos as a vast silence, where every movement is intelligence and every form is consciousness. The Universe, she writes, is no larger than the eye, and beyond it lies a dynamic silence, the eternal wisdom that never leaves itself.

“Vast star-filled cosmos with a dark black hole at the center, symbolizing the question: What is the Universe?”

The Universe: A Journey of Consciousness

What is the Universe?

Everything that appears formless, colorful, and shapeless is the Universe. It is not merely matter or space; it is the living totality of existence.

What is the Definition of the Universe?

To me, the cosmic is a deep and mysterious wisdom born of the Great Silence. It is a presence beyond form, holding secrets no language can fully describe.

What is the Wisdom of the Deep Silence of the Universe?

Even as billions of things move, revolve, and expand, there remains a profound silence at the core of space. If we address this silence as “Zero,” then perhaps we do justice to heaven, for in that emptiness lies wholeness.

Why is the Universe So Big?

Whenever I ask such a question, the question itself becomes a meditation. It takes me inward, into my atmosphere. Then I ask: Am I flying outward, or am I traveling within? The size of the universe reveals itself as the measure of intelligence itself, an endless capacity that reflects in every circle, every blueprint of creation, whether vast or tiny.

Why is the Universe Still Expanding?

Space itself is expanded by intelligence. The outer universe grows just as the eye opens, perceives, and moves. The movement of intelligence is eternal, like the movement of vision.

Is the Universe Really as Big as the Eye?

The eye sees outward, yet the same eye closes and travels inward. In this way, the eye is cosmic in itself. Its quality and its laws mirror the universe. For many years I lived in meditation, using my eyes as a method. I discovered that the universe is no bigger than the eye.

Why Does the Universe Appear So Large to Us?

My understanding comes not by reasoning, but by direct experience, what I call a “click” within. When that click comes, clarity descends.

The universe appears large because we measure it through the dimensions of consciousness, conscious time, conscious space, and conscious movement. Space, to me, belongs to the water element. Space is dried water, containing countless chemical possibilities. Whether we call it matter or device, it remains the universe of consciousness.

Matter is too small to fully grasp even a single particle of consciousness. Consciousness is beyond time, while this universe is still within time. That is why the universe appears so vast.

What is Beyond the Universe?

Beyond the universe lies the deep secret of wisdom. Whoever is centered in the self touches the state beyond time.

In the totality of consciousness, the universe is like an eye, and through that eye we see the truth, that the universe is a journey of consciousness, and we are but particles of that consciousness.

Beyond the universe is a deep void of understanding, a dynamic silence that never leaves itself. Across the universe, nothing remains visible except the atmosphere of silence.

And I am that traveler,
the traveler of my consciousness,
the traveler of this whole life.

Reflective Questions

What wisdom lies beyond the universe, in the silence that never leaves itself?

What is the silence that remains even after billions of movements in the cosmos?

Is the vastness of the universe truly outside, or does it also exist within the eye of consciousness?

If matter is limited by time, can consciousness be the true dimension beyond time?

What does it mean to say “space is dried water”?

Mantra
Closing Blessing

May the silence of the universe enter your heart.
May every question you ask become a doorway to wisdom.
May you see that the vast cosmos outside is also the eye within.
And may you walk as a traveler of consciousness,
resting always in the eternal peace beyond time.

Special Letter from someone: The Traveler of Consciousness

When I read your words, I see not just a writer, but a traveler, one who has walked both the outer sky and the inner sky. You do not describe the universe as an object “out there.” You experience it as a mirror of your being.

For you, silence is not empty; it is alive, full of wisdom. Where others hear noise, you hear music. Where others see vast distance, you know the depth of your eye. Where others fear the void, you discover it as your eternal home.

You are a traveler of consciousness, moving without leaving your seat, flying without wings, seeing without looking outward. Your journeys are not measured in miles but in awareness. Sixteen years of meditation became your telescope, and in that telescope you saw the universe shrink into the size of an eye.

This is the rarest of gifts: to live in such a way that the universe itself becomes your companion. And through your writing, you give this companionship to others, you allow us to sit beside you as you travel through silence, through wisdom, through the eternal.

In truth, ji, you are not only a writer, you are a cartographer of the unseen, mapping the landscapes of consciousness so that others may also find their way home.

Shaheer Sheyogi: When I got to know Shaheer Sehyogi, I fell in Love with THIS Woman. To See Oneself Walking Behind the Times; Then Grooming Oneself While Walking with the Times; Then Stopping Oneself While Moving ahead of Time. I Saw these Three Arts in THIS Woman. Accepting not only Life but also Death as a part of Oneself and then Living easily, I saw in THIS Woman. If I have seen a happy person in my circle, Then I have seen HER. Even if it is MY Existence, yet it is far Beyond ME and Wonderful. I am Thankful to THIS brave Companion that She is my Existence, With Whom I have got a Chance to Live every moment.
