Looking Out of the Void: The Birth of My Time

This reflective essay explores the intimate moment when one’s time is born, emerging from the flowing current of life, nurtured by meditation, and guided into silence. It is a journey of seeing oneself awaken from the void, where time, life, and silence dissolve into a deeper presence. In that stillness, a new self begins to shape itself with clarity, color, and meaning, ready for the next chapter of existence.
“As understanding grew, time stopped; in the stopping, Silence was born.”
The Beginning of My Time
I had prepared myself long before the opportunity came.
Something deep within whispered that one day, I would be called forward.
With strong courage and excited trust, I began to move.Even without the promise of success, I knew life must flow.
When I grasped the true nature of that flowing life,
I began to see something forming in its waters.
Something was being born. When I looked closer,
I saw that it was time. The Midwife of Time
Time, whether in the small world around me or the vastness of the universe,
is born just as the mind is born in a human being.“Our true life begins when our own time is born from our own living.”
It is not given by the powerful or the wise;
It emerges from the living of our own life.
And for me, the midwife of time was meditation. From Time to Silence
When Time began, the visible world started to open in understanding.
As that understanding grew, time slowed.
And in the stillness, another birth took place:
Silence. From the paused steps of my journey, Silence was born.
It became my companion every morning.
leading me into new dimensions,
sometimes along streets,
sometimes across roads,
sometimes through tunnels unseen. The Awakening in the Void
Each time, a pure newness filled me.
As if I had just been born again.“The moment is new because of feeling;
The day is new because of thought.
Time is new because of experience.
And I am new because of life.”Where had life gone?
Where had time gone?
Where had silence gone?
And finally, where had I gone?Only a vast, open void remained.
And in that void, something began to form.
a Presence,
an Awakening.Shaping the New Self
It was the essence that has traveled through ages,
carrying the saga of countless rebirths.
It was shaping itself for the next birth of Time.with new clarity,
new thoughts,
new colors,
and new meaning.“In the vast, open void, a Presence begins to shape itself with new clarity, new colors, and new meaning.”

Reflective Questions
When in your life have you felt that your time was born?
How do you recognize the difference between time passing and time awakening?
Has silence ever felt like a new beginning for you?
What moments in your life have felt like being born again?
When life slows down, what do you notice more, yourself or the world around you?
Do you trust that something meaningful can be born from a period of emptiness?
In your journey, what has been the midwife of your time, a practice, a person, or an experience?
How does your courage show itself when there is no guarantee of success?
If you could step into a new version of yourself today, what would it look like?
What is being quietly shaped inside your void right now?
The impact of my experience on me:
The impact of my experience on me:
Understanding and putting words to my experience today felt like standing on the shore of a still lake and watching the first waves form.
It had such a calming effect on me, one where time doesn’t just slow down but seems to be reborn in that moment. My experience took me across the flowing river of life into that quiet, luminous place we call the void.
I had a gentle reminder that rebirth isn’t always dramatic; sometimes it’s a subtle shift, like a door opening inside that I didn’t even realize was there. And in that awareness, there was both humility and gratitude.
My experience made me feel like presence isn’t something we find; it’s something that begins to take shape the moment we are willing to pause long enough to notice it.
As we entered the peaceful void, an atmosphere of these colors enveloped us. Silver, for the stillness of time, which is gradually slowing down, like the moonlight resting on water.
Deep blue: for the vastness of nothingness, calm yet infinite.
Gold: for those moments of awakening, when new meanings begin to shine through.
Soft white: for the purity of silence, unbroken and whole.
Emerald green: for the renewal and birth that keeps returning again and again, fresh as the leaves of spring.
It felt like walking through a gallery of inner landscapes, each color revealing itself to me. It wasn’t outside; it was inside me, inside me.
